Paving the Way to a Brighter Future
Children have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. At 1705 BCD Army Cadets, we are here to give them the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We have a number of educational programs and leadership initiatives that help nurture our youth and help them develop the skills they will carry throughout their lives. This is the Vernon Corps but we have kids from Lumby, Lavington, Coldstream and Lake Country, all are welcome. We meet every Tuesday from 6:30-9 from September to June, we also will have other activities throughout the year for the Cadets to attend such as FTX, swimming, Learn to Scuba, Tubing at Silver Star and First Aid Courses just to name a few of the other activities we do! As well as the opportunity to attend a summer camp! Parents are welcome to join us for the last Tuesday of every month for our Parent Sponsor Committee meetings, volunteers are always needed and the help is appreciated!

VOLUNTEERING IN OUR COMMUNITY
1705 BCD Army Cadets empowers youth in the greater Vernon area to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of services. We care about our children, and provide them with a number of enrichment programs to help shape their identity. Our Volunteering Trips provides our youth the chance to get involved in the community and meet new and exciting faces from all walks of life. We sell poppies for Remembrance Day in our local communities such as Lumby, Vernon, Lake Country together with the Legion.
Our Range program is another optional activity your Cadet can take part in. We begin training in the Fall and meet once a week! We hope to start in late October 2020 combining Range with Biathalon skills. More info to come......all cadets welcome to attend!
